When I was Younger

When I was younger there's so many things I used to do that I must Say I still miss playing games like Man Hunt on the block with all the kids in my neighborhood. I used to enjoy playing Double Dutch on the block with the girls on my block while the boys rode past on their bikes. I remember running outside for the ice cream truck when I heard it coming. The memories of my childhood make me smile and I just which I could capture them again. One thing I loved to do was play freeze tag or sneak across the street on my bike even though my mom told me not to.I enjoyed driving my barbie jeep up and down the block an attempting to skate despite my numerous bruises. Between my bike and my skates I don't know which one was worse. The things I would do to have these experiences back. Getting old isn't all it's cracked up to be and the older I get the more I realize that a small part of me will always miss my childhood.

The Movie Roomate

I'm not one to criticize a movie but this is one movie that deserves a not so pleasant review. For my birthday weekend I went to the movies and saw Room Mate. I must say....worst movie ever. I've seen many movies in my life time and I have never disliked many as much as Room Mate. The actors were stupid and through out the whole entire movie all I wanted to do was get up and leave or yell at the actors for being so stupid. I wanted out. The movie was long and wasn't good. The commercials mad the movie seem like the best thing ever but it reLly only showed the last 15 minutes of the movie which was practically the only good part of the movie. It was so stupid. The girl realizes somethings wrong and everyone tells her something is wrong but she still continues to hang around her stupid little room mate. it was rediculouse. It's not till her friends start disappearing does she notice that something is wrong, and it's not till she's being attacked by her psycho room mate that she realizes how crazy she is. In my opinion if ur stupid enough to not realize the obvious then you deserve to die. In conclusion this is a horrible movie that you might as well wait till it comes out on tv. It's not worth your money.

The Origins Of Valentines Day

In today's society most people celebrate Valentines Day by giving out cards, balloons, teddy bears, flowers, and lets not forget the most important thing, CHOCOLATE! Even though some people don't celebrate Valentines Day, those who do, most of the time has no idea where it came from. Many just think its a day that was made to show how much you loved someone which is why its considered to be the day of Love.

Everyone has their own theory on Valentines Day.Some think its just a naked baby running around with a bow and arrow shooting people while others think it started way back during the time of the Romans. The truth of it all is that its a great big mystery.

One Theory of Valentines Day said that a prisoned man fell in love with his jailers daughter and before he was put to death he sent her the very first valentine ever. Another origin was from the ancient Roman holiday Lupercalia. This started because the festival honored the roman goddess Juno which was the goddess of woman and marriage. Most believe that a priest named St. Valentine secretly married couples that were in love. During the 3rd century it was believed that soldiers who didn't have wives performed in battles better. The Emperor forbid any soldiers from being married because they thought a spouse would be a distraction.

Even though there are a million and one theories about Valentines no one really knows the truth. Valentines Day has come a long way since the Romans and has changed a lot since then and even with all the changes the holiday is still celebrated today. What you believe in and how you celebrate is all up to you.One thing many can agree upon is the idea of LOVE being behind the origin of Valentines Day.
